Applewood Park — a great place to call home

Applewood Park is neighbourhood located in the South East quadrant of Calgary. it plays host to the Globalfest Fireworks, plenty of green space and parks with a younger demographic and young families.

Applewood Park neighbourhood has Stoney trail NE, running along the eastern edge and the 17th avenue allowing for easy access and quick transportation. Bus Routes 45 and 126 supply the neighbourhood. There are several shops along the main roads and Costco is a short commute to the East.

GlobalFest is a cultural celebration that was found in 2003, It has multiple days of fireworks, ethnic food kiosks and up to 5 internation teams putting on firework displays. The festival is located in Elliston Park. The festival allows for a display of different cultures and features a competition highliting different firework display from different countries (exception 2017 it was provinces) Brings in an audience of almost 100'000

The neighbourhood has multiple green spaces, Including Applestone Park and Applewood Park; A recently updated Park, that boasts a mix of old and New structures. A sprawling multi-age structure that is metal and built atop of synthetic sand that has fun for everyone. Presently No schools are directly in the neighbourhood.

Applewood Park has a population of approximately 6'500 residents, with 94% of them below the age of 65. 39% of the residences live in a family of 2, 48% live in a family of 3-4 and 14% are in a family of 5 or more. The median annual family household income is 65'724
