Bel-Air Heights is a neighborhood located in the west end of Ottawa, in College Ward. Geographically, it is bounded by Agincourt Road to the east, Baseline Road to the south, Nahavo Drive to the west and the Central Experimental Farm Pathway to the north. The area is primarily residential, with middle-class housing and some lower income housing areas closer to Baseline Road. Bel-Air Heights is home to three parks; Agincourt Park, Ainsley Park and Nahavo Park, as well as four schools. The population of the area is approximately 2,500 residents. The closest commercial area to Bel-Air Heights is the Walmart in Copeland Park, located at 1375 Baseline Rd, and is convenient for both grocery shopping and getting prescriptions filled. Carlingwood Shopping centre is located nearby, and is home to a multitude of retail stores, banks, as well as the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group and Carlingwood Dental Centre.
Nearby communities and neighbourhoods include McKellar Heights, Glabar Park, Copeland Park and Meadowlands-Crestview. Several bus routes run by OC Transpo conveniently take residents to and from the neighbourhood and surrounding areas.
