Carson Grove — a great place to call home

Carson Grove is a neighbourhood located in the east end of Ottawa, spanning the former Ottawa-Gloucester Boundary. Geographically, it is bound by the Aviation Parkway on the west, Bathgate Drive on the east, La Cité collégiale on the north, and Ogilvie Road on the south. Carson Grove has a population of just under 3,000 residents, maintaining a tight-knit community. The area is primarily residential and is considered a mature neighbourhood, however is also home to the federal government’s tech intelligence agency, the Communications Security Establishment. Just outside the neighbourhood, residents will find a number of commercial attractions, including the Gloucester Centre at 1980 Ogilvie Road, home to a number of shops and services, including a large Walmart and a Loblaws. Across from the Gloucester Centre is a large Cineplex Movie Theatre surrounded by several big-chain restaurants.

The city of Ottawa is served by OC Transpo, offering a number of local bus routes that take passengers to and from all major areas of the city, with accessible door-to-door transit available for those in need. The Montfort Hospital is located only 3 km from Carson Grove and can be easily accessed via bus route 129, running approximately every 30 minutes.
