City of Guelph — a great place to call home

Guelph is a vibrant city located in southwestern Ontario, with a population of just over 130,000 residents. Geographically, the city is located about 25 km east of Kitchener and 100 km west of Downtown Toronto. Guelph contains a fine mix of residential, shopping and cultural attractions. Additionally, the city holds a number of recreational opportunities, including walking and hiking trails, and several festivals held throughout the seasons. The Stone Road Mall is conveniently located nearby the main residential area, and is home to a multitude of retail stores, banks, restaurants and a Shoppers Drug Mart, ideal for getting prescriptions filled. There is one main hospital in the city, the Guelph General, located at 115 Delhi St. The city is served by Guelph Transit, which provides numerous bus routes taking passengers to and from all main areas of the city.

Guelph is also home to numerous public and private schools, as well the University of Guelph, making Guelph a desirable location for both families and university students. With no surprise, Guelph has consistently been rated as one of the top cities in Canada to live.
