City of Windsor — a great place to call home

Windsor is a vibrant city in the southernmost portion of Canada, located on the shore of the Detroit River. The city functions as an international gateway, with millions of foreign visitors per year, and is served by five railways and four provincial highways connecting with Toronto and Montreal. Windsor has been given the title of the "Automotive Capital of Canada" due to its major contributions to the automotive industry, however its economy also relies of tourism, education, and government services.

Windsor is home to a diverse population of over 200,000 residents, dispersed into twenty residential neighbourhoods ranging from rural farmlands to densely-built areas. Downtown Windsor is bound by Glengary Ave to the east, Janette Avenue to the west, Giles Blvd to the south, and the Detroit River to the north. The area consists of a fine mix of shopping, entertainment and touristic attractions, as well as a multitude of health clinics and doctors' offices with pharmacies, convenient for getting prescriptions filled. The city is served by Transit Windsor, which provides a number of accessible bus routes taking passengers to and from all areas of the city, offering affordable senior rates. Sever hospitals serve the area, all in different regions, making health care easily accessible from any residential area.
