Fairfield is the southernmost neighbourhood of Victoria British Columbia. it is Bordered to the east by Oakbay, to the north to the community of Rockland, Beacon Hill Park is to the west and the Ocean shoreline of the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
Fairfield neighbourhood is in the old Fort of Victoria which was founded in 1850's by the Hudson Bay company. It takes its name from Sir James Douglas' Farm which was called Fairfield Farm. The oldest building in the neighbourhood is 1263 regalson street it is the oldest in central Fairfield.
The Ross Bay Cemetary is located in The Neighbourhood. It is named after the owner Isabella Mainville Ross the 1st female landowner. The cemetery has many historical figures buried, from the colony of BC. It was founded in 18733 and is 27.5 acres. Emily carr's cemetery is located within the Ross Bay Cemetary.
