Granville Island — a great place to call home
Granville Island is a commercial focus island in Vancouver Island, across from false creek and below the Granville Street Bridge. It is a island with highway 99 being the entry point onto the island
Granville is a shopping and tourism island, it has 275 business that calls the island home. There are two ferries that go to Vancouver city; Acquabus and False Creek Ferries. There are two performing arts theatres; Vancouver theatre sports league and the performance theatre.
There are two parks and kid centre areas on granville island; Ron Bashford Park and the Granville Island water park with the Adventure zone being kid friendly. The Emily Carr University of art and design is the only education facility on the island.
Th Granville Public Market is home to 50 permanent stalls and 100 rotating day stalls, established in 1979 it is home to Farmers, and vendors year round.
