Little Maghreb — a great place to call home

The little Maghreb is a neighbourhood in Montreal. It is located along Jean Talon for 15 km. It is the first neighbourhood of its kind to pay tribute to the northern African region Maghreb. The Maghreb consists of Algeria, Morocco, Libya and Tunisia. Merchants came forward to create this neighbourhood in early 1990. 63'000 immigrants from Morocco, Algeria and Tusinia have been involved in language immigration where Quebec is trying to counter its declining Birth rate by allowing French Speaking immigrants. They have primarily settled in Montreal. It is serviced by the Blue line metro and saint michel station. There are plenty of shops long the streets.
