Manor Park — a great place to call home

Conveniently located by the scenic Ottawa River, Manor Park is a neighbourhood in the Rideau-Rockcliffe Ward of Ottawa. Geographically, it is bound by Birch Avenue to the west, Beechwood Cemetery to the south, Aviation Parkway to the east, and the Ottawa River to the north. With a population of just over 3,000 residents, Manor Park maintains a tight-knit community. The area is almost entirely residential, with housing built in the late 1940s and 1950s. The primary commercial district is located approximately 20 minutes away from Manor Park by foot, or a quick 9-minute bus ride via bus route 9. A Shopper’s Drug Mart is located at 541 Montreal Road, convenient for light grocery shopping and getting prescriptions filled. Slightly farther down Montreal Road, residents will find a Farm Boy and Independent Grocery for wider range grocery needs. The primary piece of parkland in the Manor Park area is the Vincent Anthony park, located at Bedford and Farnham Crescent.

The city of Ottawa is served by OC Transpo, offering a number of local bus routes that take passengers to and from all major areas of the city, as well as smaller neighbourhoods. Accessible door-to-door transit is available for those in need. Both the Saint Laurent Shopping Centre and the Montfort Hospital are only short bus rides away from Manor Park.
