Mount Pleasant is a small neighbourhood in Victoria, British Columbia with a population of around 26,400 residents. Geographically, it is one of the few neighborhoods in Victoria that spans the city’s east-west divide, stretching from Cambie Street to Clark Drive and from Great Northern Way and 2nd, to 16th and Kingsway. Mount Pleasant is becoming one of the more up and coming neighbourhoods in Victoria, with an increasing number of urban professionals, first-time home owners and families. The area has a flourishing restaurant and micro-brewery scene, as well as a South Main shopping district that is rich in independent retailers, local fashion designers and vintage clothing stores, as well as a Shoppers Drug Mart that is convenient for light grocery shopping and getting prescriptions filled. Mount Pleasant is now known as one of the liveliest neighborhoods in Vancouver and is currently a desirable area to live in.
Transportation to the downtown core and surrounding areas is well-established and highly efficient, with bus routes along Broadway and Main Streets. The Vancouver General Hospital is located only a few blocks outside the neighborhood.
