Oaklands — a great place to call home
Oaklands is an attractive and affordable family neighboorhood in the northeast corner of Victoria. It is bordered by Cook street, Haultain street, Shelbourne Street and North Dairy Rd.
Oaklands has a very active and influential Community centre, It offers, Summer and winter markets, hosts day camps, Daycares and activities form 0-99, they are a large employer in the community and have many volunteers as well. Buses 4,22,27,28,24 serve the Oaklands Neighbourhood. Hillside Shopping is in the Northeast corner of the neighbourhood. There is a Jewish cemetery that was founded in 1860 it is located off cedar hill street on Fernwood Hill.It is the oldest cemetery in Western Canada and the first Jewish Judge in Canada rests here.
