Quarries is a small neighbourhood located in the east end of Ottawa, southwest of Montreal Road and Bathgate Drive. The area is primarily residential, with a multitude of apartments and single-family homes. The city of Ottawa is served by OC Transpo, offering a number of local bus routes that take passengers to and from all major areas of the city, with accessible door-to-door transit available for those in need. The Montreal Hospital is located only 1 km away from Quarries, and can be easily accessed by either bus or foot.
