Souris is a town in the eastern part of Prince Edward Island. It is the Gateway to Magdalen island via Ferry. it is the Hub for most of the towns in the easternmost part of PEI. Souris is accessible by Car and is 78 km from Charlottetown if flying is your prefered method of travelling. Highway 2/16, and 305 are the main highways passing through. The shops are concentrated along Veterans' memorial and main st, but have a small town feel with businesses up and down side streets as well.
Souris Beach Provincial Park is a day-use with shallow water. This allows for lots several hundred feet of walkable sandy beach and walking in shallow water. there are two other provincial parks nearby; Basin Head Provincial and Red Point Provincial Park. Deep sea fishing is 23km away. Basin Head was named the top beach in 2013 and is a mile long. The Souris Lighthouse built in 1880 is the focal point of the Seaglass festival and a must stop for all tourist.
