Ville de Saint-Jérôme — a great place to call home

Ville de Saint-Jérôme is a city in Quebec, located approximately 60 kilometers northwest of Montreal on the Rivière du Nord, with a population of just under 70,000 residents, the majority of which are native French speakers. The city is known as a gateway to the Laurentian Mountains, a popular mountain range in Southern Quebec.

The city of Saint-Jérôme comprises of a fine mix of urban living and fine outdoors. A number of outdoor attractions are available, including Le P'tit Train du Nord Linear Park, Park-nature du lac Jérôme, and Sentier Nature du Lac Jérôme. Other historical and cultural offerings in the city include a Roman Catholic cathedral, modern art museums, several summer festivals and an indoor arena. Carrefour du Nord is the primary commercial area in the city; it is a regional shopping mall with numerous retail stores, a pharmacy convenient for filling prescriptions and an optometry office. Transportation around the city is conveniently served by a local city transit agency, CIT Laurentides as well as a few private intercity bus companies.
