Community Description

Located in Hawkesbury, the Prescott & Russell Residence is a long-term care home. As per the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007, and the agreement with the Champlain Local Health Integration Network (LHIN), it is administered by the United Counties of Prescott and Russell.

The Residence offers a variety of quality care and services, based on a genuine commitment to create an family-oriented and secure environment favouring the autonomy of the residents. Everything is done in order for these residents, who are at the heart of our heritage, can live in their new home with respect and dignity, regardless of their language, culture and beliefs.

The highly-qualified personnel of the Prescott & Russell Residence possesses a long history of participation and commitment to the community. For more than 30 years, staff members have responded to the ever-changing needs of the elderly, the ill, the indigent and those at loss of autonomy, by dispensing adapted and personalized care to each resident. The well-being of the residents is at the heart of their every decision and every action. are committed, human, caring, and professional and focus their decisions and actions on the well-being of each resident in an environment of family life and quality.

Approximately 200 professionals are at the service of the residents 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They are solidly supported by a medical team composed of four doctors and specialists such as a podiatrist, an audiologist, an optometrist, a dermatologist, a dentist, a physiotherapist, an occupational therapist, a dietitian, and a laboratory technician.
