Midland Gardens Care Community opened in 1991, and is situated close to the spectacular Scarborough Bluffs. This long-term care home has an entire floor devoted to meeting the needs of cognitively-challenged residents. With an amazing variety of activities, this home’s 299 residents can choose whatever interests them. Happy hour, seasonal BBQs, monthly birthday celebrations, and the very popular Evening of Elegance—all have live entertainment. The visiting pets program welcomes exotic animals like the Madagascar monkey, snakes and parakeets. Pottery classes and art therapy provide hands-on fun; and an intergenerational program brings tots and teens into the home. Everyone enjoys the “trick or treating” at Halloween, and high school students provide computer lessons for residents.
Midland Gardens Care Community offers four respite beds, and adjoins to Midland Gardens Senior Independent Apartments—perfect for couples with differing needs.
