Community Description

Silverthorn Care Community is located in a quiet residential area, flanked by the Credit River Valley conservation land, and conveniently situated to Credit Valley Hospital and Highway 403.

The long-term care home’s 160 residents enjoy a variety of programs, including pet therapy and music programs, physiotherapy and group exercise, and intergenerational programs that host visits from local high school students, moms and toddlers. Our Early Risers program respects personal routines by allowing for a flexible wake-up time and breakfast.

Silverthorn Care Community is named in honour of the property’s original landowner Private Thomas Silverthorn, who was a veteran of the War of 1812. It was also recognized at the 2016 Partnering for a Healthy Community Awards by the Mississauga Halton LHIN.
