Community Description

Camilla Care Community is conveniently located next to the Trillium Health Care Centre, in the heart of the vibrant community of Mississauga. It is currently the only long-term care community in the city with professionally-trained employees able to provide Peritoneal Dialysis to residents in need.

This care community opened in 1970, and derives its name from the small neighbourhood park which sits along the Cooksville Creek. The 237 residents are supported with a variety of programs that include restorative care and physiotherapy, pet therapy, cultural cooking, and a palliative care program. Spiritual services, including mass, are provided regularly for residents. Large lounges have plenty of space in which to socialize or participate in events and activities, and the large enclosed courtyard is well used by residents and families to enjoy the outdoors.

A designated short stay/respite care bed is available through the Community Care Access Centre.
