Chartwell Constantia Retirement Residence provides seniors in Thornhill a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the heart of a thriving Jewish community. Offering independent supportive living to our predominantly Jewish residents, our seniors’ home honours and celebrates Jewish cultural and religious values, including weekly rabbi lectures and Shabbat services. For active residents, our home is ideally located on bustling Centre Street, steps away from the Promenade Mall and a short walk to the iconic, resident-favourite Centre Street Deli. That’s just one of many nearby dining choices, including Bagel World and Café Sheli.

At Chartwell Constantia, we offer seniors choice, flexibility and peace of mind when it comes to their retirement lifestyle. Traditional Jewish cuisine is offered in an atmosphere that can only be described as “heimish”—homey and comfortable—crafting meals that cater to the tastes, preferences and dietary needs of our residents. We are especially proud of our partnership with the Jewish studies program at the University of Toronto, in which students visit our seniors’ residence, giving popular talks on topics of interest. Numerous other activities and amenities—including housekeeping and a full roster of personal care options—all delivered by caring, compassionate staff—help give residents the rich, full and worry-free lives they desire.
