Community Description

The congregation of Dovercourt Baptist Church wanted to make a contribution to their neighbourhood and believed that the establishment of a retirement community would be a lasting legacy. New Horizons Tower has become that legacy as one of the City's well established not-for-profit senior housing providers. Operating since 1974 as a charitable organization, we are committed to reinvest in the community we serve, to enhance and enrich the lives of seniors who choose to live in the heart of Bloordale Village. From gracious dining to new suites and lounges, residents are enjoying the new management and upgrades found at 1140 Bloor Street West.

DINING

The new Bloor Street Cafe and Dining Room brings the love of food, nutrition and home-style cooking to New Horizons Tower. Everything is made from scratch, on site, from two daily soups to main entrees and dessert. The quality standard around dining service, food, and variety of meals is evident as residents have more choices than ever, from main entrees to vegetarian and therapeutic diets, all nutritional needs are covered.

Special Dinners at NHT feature four star dining choices. Residents and their guests enjoy delectable tastes in the boutique hotel style of NHT. The Bloor Street Cafe offers residents specialty coffees and teas plus a place to meet and greet while enjoying street views from the comfort of their very own cafe.
