Applewood Retirement Residence is a well established, comfortable and warm retirement community nestled on 2 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens right in the heart of Peterborough; close enough to downtown, but far from the daily hustle and bustle. There’s ample parking to accommodate residents and guests alike.

ACCOMMODATIONS

One Bedroom Suite

(545–640 sq ft)

Our new one bedroom suites offer an apartment-style space with all the advantages of retirement living. Each suite boasts a large living room with large windows and a very generous balcony for your private use. Each has a kitchenette with fridge, microwave and ample cupboard space. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable.

Ladies, you’ll love the huge walk-in bedroom closet and full ensuite bathroom with safety features. A second closet at your front door provides extra storage room. In addition, the neutral colours and carpeting create a warm and home-like atmosphere.

Studio Suite

(320 sq ft)

Our popular studio suites are spacious and comfortable. They feature large windows, access to your own generous private patio or balcony, a large closet, small fridge and microwave and private four-piece bathroom. Walls and carpet are in neutral shades, helping to create a warm and home-like atmosphere.

LIFESTYLE

At Applewood you have the freedom to spend your time doing what you enjoy. Opportunities abound! We make sure there is something for everyone, seven days a week. Our Activity Director will get to know your hobbies and passions and will plan activities you’re sure to love. Our monthly Activities Calendar is designed to keep you involved, informed and as busy as you wish to be.

Our 24-hour cafe and lounges are great areas for relaxing and chatting with friends over a beverage and a sweet treat. Catch a movie in our theatre. Take our shuttle van to a variety of organized outings and day trips. Get active in our fitness centre. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through our gardens and walking paths. Nurture your spirit in our faith-based programs. Enjoy music programs, arts and craft classes, or live entertainment. Explore volunteer options. There is no reason to be bored here!

Our experienced Activity Director wants to get to know you! We encourage you to share your ideas for activities you would like to see added to our programs. The sky is the limit and fun is always included.
